Demetrio "Dimitry" Scopelliti

Demetrio "Dimitry" Scopelliti was born in Vercelli, Italy on the 23rd February 1980. He starts playing the guitar at the age of 13 and after a couple of years of practice he founded the group Arcadia (Progressive Metalcore), with this band he tours the entire world in the following 20 years.

After graduating at the European Music College in Milan, Italy, he releases his first album Evolution in 2008, Codex Magika in 2012, the full length album "The Art of Complications" in 2016, "The Silent Watcher" in 2018 plus several other records under different names and music shapes.

In 2020 during the lockdown months he locked himself in the studio writing and recording "V", his 5th studio album. Since it was very difficult to get a hold of people in that period Demetrio decides to record all the instruments by himself which gives him the opportunity to work out the album exactly as it sounded in his head.

Demetrio started his own guitar company called "Inspiria" Guitars and he presentedhis instruments at "The Namm Show" in the summer of 2022, spring 2023 and winter 2024.

His previous signature 8 string guitar model has been already presented at Namm 2020 by the chinese company "Sunsmile Guitars" but Dimitry decided to bring the whole thing to a completely new levelfounding his own brand. Beside composing, producing and touring the world, Dimitry is a guitar, bass & drums instructor in different schools in Norway where he lives nowadays and an on line music personality on YouTube and on all the main social media.

He has been guitar player for the Italian prog metal band Dammercide who released their second album "The Seed" in 2020, he then quits the band in September 2022.

In 2022 he gets recruited to represent Norway at the Wcopa, «World Championship of performing arts» which takes place in Hollywood, Ca in July 2022 where he gets 3 silver medals in 3 categories he's competing for. (Original Works, Contemporary Instrumental Music, Open). He was competing with an edit version of the following tunes: Devil You Know (from "V" ), Immortal Portrait and SL8 (from "The Art of Complications").

Inthe summer of 2023 he tours the US supporting his latest released album «V».

During the break from touring he has the honor to record the guitars of the upcoming «IngridDigre's» album together with legendary world class musicians Greg and Matt Bissonette on drums and bass and Grammy Awarded Producer «Jeff Weber».

Dimitry is a card-carrying Randall amp man and goes through the Hotone Soul Press to get his signature WAH sound.
